Hi Cabot!

My name is Richard, and as a Cabot alum I couldn’t be more excited to return to the Quad! I grew up under the stars of rural Virginia before coming to Harvard, where I concentrated jointly in Physics and Math with a secondary in Computer Science. After a year and a half on Google’s quantum computing team and a Master’s in theoretical computer science at Oxford as a Marshall Scholar, I’m now at MIT for a PhD in quantum information theory. I envision a future where quantum mechanics revolutionizes humanity’s approach to problem-solving, and I love working on this cutting edge science.

In my free time, I enjoy doing anything and everything outdoors – rock climbing, running, biking (long walk to the River who?), and especially hiking the White Mountains with my partner and fellow tutor, Manu. I can’t wait to share these parts of myself with you, but most of all, I look forward to hearing what each of you have to share. So join me for a coffee in CabCaf, for a walk by Fresh Pond, or drop by our suite in Eliot.

Semper Cor!
