Alexi Stavropoulos
Hi Cabot!
My name is Alexi Stavropoulos and I am a first-year MD-PhD student at Harvard Medical School/MIT on the Health Sciences and Technology track. I grew up in California and also frequently visit a lot of my family that lives in Greece. I graduated from Harvard in 2024 with a dual BA/MA in Chemistry, where I wrote my senior thesis on the development of molecular glue degraders against oncogenic protein targets in AML in the Christina Woo Lab. After college, I spent a year at Imperial College London as a Harvard-UK fellow, where I constructed in vitro systems that could provide insight into DNA-quadruplexes and their ability to regulate transcription via phase separation. At HMS, I am currently interested in specializing in oncology, and hope to do my PhD with the Immunology program.
In my free time I love to cook, run, and play the guitar/DJ. As a previous resident of Cabot house, I am so excited to help out in any way I can!
