Hey Cabot Family! My name is Hazim. I’m a PhD student in American Studies and Senior Fellowships tutor. Born and raised in the heart of North Philadelphia, I split my undergrad between Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University before completing a Master of Philosophy in History at Oxford where I was a Rhodes Scholar. My work currently focuses on the communal significance of black vernacular traditions around mourning in my hometown. I’m always down to talk music, sports (on Sundays you may hear concerning screams), art, books, whatever. So if you see me say what’s up!
