Hey Cabot Family! My name is Hazim. I’m a PhD student in American Studies and Senior Fellowships tutor. Born and raised in the heart of North Philadelphia, I split my undergrad between Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University before completing a Master of Philosophy in History at Oxford where I was a Rhodes Scholar. My work currently focuses on the communal significance of black vernacular traditions around mourning in my hometown.
