My name is Smit Chitre, and I’m a medical student at HMS. I grew up in Michigan, but I call Cambridge home. A proud Currierite, I studied anthropology at Harvard College and graduated in 2021. I spent my gap years teaching and coaching sports in England as well as traveling across the globe.
I’m interested in the political economy of medicine, sociohistorical drivers of disease, and how medical training shapes specific understandings of the human body. Outside of my scholarly pursuits, I love wildlife photography, birding, soccer, cooking, and film.
