Cabot Global Public Health Awareness Month

We're kicking-off of a 3-part series exploring global public health (in the U.S. and abroad) here in Cabot! This week, Joshua Jeong, MS, who studies fathers’ influence in global early child health and development, will join us. Grab your dinner and join us in the dhall, Thurs., Apr. 13, 6 pm.

Recently, you will have received an invitation from President Drew Faust to participate in An Afternoon of Engagement on April 5 at 2:00pm. This interactive event will use story-telling and small-group conversations to explore what the concepts of inclusion and belonging means for our campus and to generate solutions, drawing on the collective wisdom of our community. Your work that afternoon will help shape the Inclusion and Belonging Task Force’s conceptions of inclusion and belonging and guide its exploration of solutions and formulation of recommendations.

Housing Lottery –Room selection on Thursday (SCR):

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to participate in the housing lottery. Numbers will be generated today (Monday) at 4 p.m., and posted on the “participation” sheet, and time slots will be posted on Tuesday. Room layouts are posted on the bulletin board in A-Entry. Room selection will be on April 6th.  Things can be changed with wish letters after the lottery. Then you can get back to the easy part of passing your classes.

Million Pound Challenge—April 1, 4-6 p.m. (Cabot Gym)

RUN Million Pound Challenge Team 2017 are excited to invite you to Raise Uganda Now's 2017 Million Pound Challenge! As you may know, Raise Uganda Now is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit that finances RUN orphanage in Nankoma, Uganda. At the orphanage, RUN provides housing, tutoring, food, and safety to 25 children who suffered parental loss and abandonment for the past two years. The event will occur on 4/1/17 from 4-6pm at Cabot House's gym.

Trip to Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory—April 1, 12:30-3 p.m.

Put your books aside and come volunteer for a couple hours at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory! The shift involves sorting through clothes, putting together outfits, or creating bundles of books for children ages 0-12. Transportation will be provided to the Giving Factory in Brighton. Looking for 10-15 wonderful fish to come on this fun community service trip! Questions? Contact Anna

Cabot’s Spring Faculty-Student Dinner—March 30th

Cabot's Spring Faculty-Student Dinner will be held on Thursday, March 30. There will be a reception from 5:30 to 6 p.m. in the Cabot Living Room (E-Entry), followed by dinner in the Cabot Dining Hall starting at 6 p.m. Cabot students and tutors are welcome to invite their professors, or coaches, or TFs, or proctors for a sit-down dinner. Cabot students may invite a professor individually or as a group. We welcome this opportunity to meet the people who have meant so much to our Harvard lives. Thank you to everyone who signed up!
